How BreedWise handles analytics, advertising cookies, consent, and privacy requests.

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit dogbreedcost.com (BreedWise), how it is used, and the choices you have. BreedWise is a static informational website: it has no user accounts, payments, comments, or sign-up forms.

Who operates this site

Information collected

  • Technical data from hosting: our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request data such as IP address, browser, device type, referring page, and time of visit to deliver and protect the site.
  • Analytics data: Google Analytics 4 collects aggregate usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and time on page.
  • Advertising data: Google AdSense and its partners may collect cookie identifiers, device information, and interaction data to serve and measure ads.
  • Messages you send: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.

BreedWise does not send calculator entries, form values, or other text you type on the site to analytics or advertising services.

Advertising and cookies

BreedWise uses Google AdSense, including automatically placed ads, to support the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which guides and tools readers use so we can improve them. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and is reviewed only in aggregate. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Because BreedWise does not operate accounts, most data is held by Google and our hosting provider; use the controls linked above, or email us and we will help with any request we can fulfill. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Children

BreedWise is intended for a general adult audience researching dog ownership. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers and security

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We keep the site static, use HTTPS, and avoid collecting data we do not need.

BreedWise links to veterinary, university, breed-club, government, and cost-study sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date above.
